Remembering Jean Revil

Our community joins together in prayer for the eternal repose of the soul of Jean Revil. Having faithfully served as a theology teacher, campus minister, and volunteer for almost 50 years, Jean was a vital part of our school community.

Miss Revil helped start the tradition of gifting scallop shells to every graduating senior at their Baccalaureate Mass to represent their journey after Stang. She was also one of the driving forces for starting Stang’s FIAT program which required every student to commit time to service before graduating.

In the 1980 yearbook, Miss Revil shared that “teaching a student that they have worth and that they should be happy with themselves is my main goal as a teacher at Stang,” while the 1999 seniors dedicated their yearbook to her.

We are heartbroken over her loss. Her legacy and memory will be carried with us all forever. May she rest in eternal peace.
