By giving special recognition to Hispanic and Latino people for their history, music, art, writings, and traditions, Señora Verissimo and her Spanish language students helped us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
They displayed traditional costumes of Latin America, decorated with traditional paper cutouts, and presented notable Hispanic and Latino figures throughout history. At each table, students got to browse books by Latino authors and sample traditional foods.
Our library provided space and resources for us to learn about the culture of Latinos in our own Bishop Stang community. Each month, the library will celebrate a different group that has made a positive impact on all of us. Thank you to everyone involved for the wonderful celebration!
