Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Nina Amatulli

Originally from Glen Rock, New Jersey, Nina started her journey to teaching Math after working as a math tutor during high school. In her senior year of high school, Nina volunteered to teach math in India and shared: “It made me want to teach. Every child has the potential to learn and succeed, and I want to help them achieve that.” (See photo above)

At Providence College, she earned her undergrad and graduate degrees, as a part of the Providence Alliance for Catholic Teachers (PACT) program, where she was matched with Stang to teach as a part of the PACT program. As a Friar fanatic, Nina can be found at PC basketball games cheering on her alma mater, and while she was a student she won 6 intramural championships in basketball (2), handball, corn hole, flag football, and ping pong.  While at PC, she was also a part of campus ministry and helped lead retreats, sparking her love for retreats.

As a three-year Stang Freshman Retreat veteran, Nina shared “I love hearing about the student’s faith growth and what their journeys have been. When they talk about their faith life, it shows other kids that they’re not alone  in their faith.” Nina also lived in Japan from ages 5-8, when her love for travel began. She had opportunities to travel to Italy and Iceland this year and even got to hike inside a glacier (above). Outside of school, she can be found volunteering at Stang sporting and social events, and at the gym learning how to box!

Thank you for making such a positive impact on our students, Ms. Amatulli!!
