Our History

Chapel CrossSince its doors opened in 1959 as the first coeducational Catholic secondary school in the Fall River Diocese, Bishop Stang High School has stayed true to teaching strong moral and principled values to young men and women in pursuit of their dreams and ambitions.

Located in the Suburban town of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, the eight-acre campus is a short 20-minute drive from Wareham and Fall River, 30 minutes from the Bourne Bridge and Tiverton R.I., and 40 minutes from Sandwich and Swansea. With its current 500-member student body representing more than 30 southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island towns, Bishop Stang unites the religious, cultural, economic, and ethnic diversity among its students and faculty. The dynamics of diversity offer myriad opportunities for the Stang Community to experience education in the security of a Catholic, family-oriented environment.
